<p><strong>Kia Ora! We are here to update you on our next event which is OMSA Annual General Meeting.<br />
Details are as follows:</p>
<p>Date : 14th August (Saturday)<br />
Time : 12pm - 3pm<br />
Venue : Evision Lounge, Clubs and Socs</p>
<p>The AGM is one of the most important events of OMSA as it determines the committee which runs the club for the following year (2010/2011); it is a way for all members to bring forth comments and/or any enquiries they may have of the committee or OMSA as a whole. The AGM is a platform for the outgoing committee to amend articles of the OMSA constitution to better suit the welfare of its members and future committees, and also it is the only event in which the treasurer presents the OMSA account details; so, if you are interested in how we have used your membership money throughout the year, please do come along.</p>
<p>Positions available for nominations (job descriptions included) are :<br />
1) President<br />
    -managing the club and committee members<br />
    -ensure and oversee that all things run according to plan and smoothly<br />
    -delegating job task to each committee members</p>
<p>2) Vice President I<br />
3) Vice President II<br />
    -assist the President in administering the student association, planning and organizing activities </p>
<p>4) Secretary I<br />
5) Secretary II<br />
    -write minutes from meetings<br />
    -reports of events<br />
    -send invitations and letters<br />
    -organise membership for OMSA</p>
<p>6) Treasurer<br />
    -preparing the accounts for the club and in-charge of managing the bank account of the club</p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="padding-left: 60px; text-align: justify;"><span style="font-family: 'Times New Roman';"><span style="font-size: medium;"><strong></p>
<p>Next year general committee comprised of:<br />
1. Economics and Finance Officer<br />
    -getting sponsorships for OMSA events as well as discounts for the members</p>
<p>2. Sports Officer I<br />
3. Sports Officer II<br />
    -advise, organise and overlook sports activities and competitions<br />
    -recruit players, overlook players performances and make sure that there are sufficient training equipments<br />
    -captain of OMSA team during Bersatu Games</p>
<p>4. Activities Officer I<br />
5. Activities Officer II<br />
    -plan in advance activities for the whole year<br />
    -be alert of the upcoming activities and ensure that everything is going smoothly</p>
<p>6. Mass Media Officer I<br />
7. Mass Media Officer II<br />
    -sending emails to members<br />
    -updating OMSA website and facebook page of upcoming events<br />
    -designing posters and pamphlets related to OMSA events</p>
<p>8. Food &#038; Beverages Officer I<br />
9. Food &#038; Beverages Officer II<br />
    -prepare food and drinks for events that require refreshments<br />
    -lead the food team during International Food Festival</p>
<p>We will not be opening nominations for these positions on the day itself (i.e. 14th of August), so if you are interested in running for any of the posts, email us of your interest beforehand so we could keep it on record for the day of the AGM. Nominations will close on 12th of August.</p>
<p>Delicious food (nasi lemak &#038; roti jala) will be provided to everyone who turns up at the meeting! There is no need to bring cash or anything since its absolutely FREE!</p>
<p>For those who want to nominate yourself or your peers to run for one of the positions, please do email us as soon as possible!<br />
And the rest of you, we will hopefully see you at the AGM!</p>
