If you would like to join OMSA, download the OMSA membership form, fill it in, and send it back to Shum Puai Yee. A NZD5 membership fee will apply. You will also need to fill in an MSD form, which can be found here.

Board of Committee
The OMSA Committee consists of two branches - The Executive Committee and The General Committee. Executive Committee Members are
elected during the Annual General Meetings or Special General Meetings. General Committee Members are appointed to their posts by the President upon
successful election to the General Committee.
Our Objectives
- to protect the interest of Malaysian Students who study in the Otago district
- to maintain liaison with the Government of Malaysia and its appointed
High Commissioner for New Zealand and other associations representing
Malaysian students in New Zealand
- to promote fellowship amongst its members and promote understanding between
Malaysian students and students of other nationalities
- to foster in New Zealand an interest in the people and the culture of Malaysia
- to provide sources of information for Malaysians intending to study in Otago
Membership
Membership to the Otago Malaysian Students Association is open to all students based here in Dunedin regardless of ethnicity, race,
religion, political affiliation, or nationality. Membership drives are conducted during the university's Clubs and Societies Day during Orientation
Week in Semester 1 and re-orientation in Semester 2. However, membership is ongoing throughout the academic year. A membership fee of NZD$5.00 per person per
year is applicable upon completion and submission of the OMSA registration form. Registration forms are available at all our events and
also from our Honorary Secretary. Please contact
Shum Puai Yee to sign up.

NB: Malaysian students holding Malaysian passports are also required to complete and submit MSD registration forms for the purposes of records for the Malaysian Students Department based in the High Commission of Malaysia in New Zealand.
